Permitless Carry – What’s New
On June 13, 2022 Constitutional Carry goes into effect in Ohio. Some changes include the following:

The rules are the same – you must be 21, not charged with or convicted of a felony, and pass the ATF background check

Applies to handguns only, it does not apply to long guns

Applies to Ohio residents only. You must obey the firearms laws of other states when crossing state lines.

No residency requirement, anyone who is in Ohio can carry without a CHL
-
There is no longer an Ohio residency requirement. Any one in Ohio (resident or visitor) can carry without a license
No changes to legal locations
